IMH craftcreates
TPSIFE is currently collaborating with IMH CraftCreates on a project to help IMH raise funds. CraftCreates is department of IMH where patients come in to make handicrafts as part of their occupational therapy. These handicrafts are later sold with part of the procceeds going to IMH while part of it goes to the patients.
TPSIFE is working with them to come up with new product designs and also teach them to make these products. At the same time, we will also help them to redesign their website, which they use to sell their products.
This project will have 3 phases,
Phase 1: Designing and promoting products targetted for CNY and Valentines day.
Phase 2: For products targetted for Good Friday
Phase 3: For products intended as corporate gifts.
And an additional phrase,
Redesigning of their website
Also, TPSIFE also intend to do a sales at TP for each phase. However, for phase 1, this depends on whether enough products can be produced on time as CNY is quite near and so is Valentines.
Even though there is designing involved in this project, partipants need not be good in art as TPSIFE have other duties that need to be done that does not involve art, for example the promotion of the products, setting up the website, planning of sales, etc...
This activity can be use for your residential project component
Interested participants please send in your name, admin no., contact no., and also your email address by 3rd Jan 2011.

The AGYC is an online business plan competition opened to youths in Asia. Through the competition, we hope to tap on the creativity and energy of Asian youths to generate business ideas that are both economically viable and environmentally responsible. The competition will tentatively be from late 2011 to till early 2012.
We are now on the look-out for energetic and dynamic individuals to join us in the following committees.
Publicity Committee
As AGYC would be held virtually, the Publicity Committee will be the face of the project. The committee will be in charge of the overall marketing strategy which includes logo designing, advertising, branding and also the development and maintenance of our website. If you have a knack for designing, new media marketing or are IT savvy, this fun and dynamic committee wants you!
Public Relations and Sponsorship Committee
The lifeline of AGYC, the Public Relations and Sponsorship Committee is tasked with seeking out possible collaborations with like minded organisations, sourcing for funding and expertise from companies and external organisations and liaising with sponsors and partner organisations. Join us if you enjoy networking and communications!
Operations Committee
The Operations Committee will be at the heart of AGYC’s activities. The committee will be in charge of developing a business plan template for participants, providing help to participants, developing the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the AGYC’s operations as well as organising the panel of judges for the competition . If you are psyched about creating a fruitful and enjoyable experience, this committee is just right for you!
International Liaison Committees (Singapore)
The International Liaison Committee (Singapore) is in charge of liaising between the different International Liaison Committees (International) based in different Asian countries. If you are interested in interacting with people of different countries, join us!
International Liaison Committees (International)

SLP Project : Leadership with Heart
Dear Participants,
A project by NVPC for any NYAA participant who is keen. This will fulfill the residential project requirement if they complete all 4 phases.
Project : Leadership with a Heart
Date : Phase 1 : 24 July
Phase 2 : 31 July
Phase 3 : Participants to select two dates (between 7 Aug to 21 Aug).
Requirement : Commitment to Phase 1 – 3
Willingness to learn & share
Project Synopsis
This 12-hour programme is target at youths (minimum of 18 years of age). Based on the concept of Servant Leadership, “Leadership with a Heart” aims to instill in youths a heartbeat for the people they are to lead and society at large. The programme consists of 3 main phases and an optional fourth.
Phase 1: Students will attend a 3 hour workshop where they will be introduced to SG Care Programme by Trainer from National Volunteer & Philanthropy Center (NVPC). During the workshop, they will undergo soft skills training where there will be an emphasis on Emotional Intelligence and Empathy.
Phase 2: Students will be partnered up with an Experienced Volunteer from NVPC to learn practical skills on how to organise a volunteering activity effectively and efficiently. This includes the preparation phase and post-event activities and it provides the students with a complete and holistic view of leading a volunteering activity.
Phase 3: At this stage, the students will be broken into smaller groups where they will now lead their own volunteers in executing the volunteering activities at the organisation that they have chosen to volunteer at. At the same time, there will be an experienced volunteer from NVPC who will be attached to them to guide them along while executing the activity.
Phase 4: At the end of the 3 phases, students will be encouraged to take on greater responsibilities by taking on a leadership role and starting to plan their own activities at the organisation that they have been volunteering at. They will be involved in developing programmes for the organisation and recruiting new volunteers to participate. Students will get to utilise their analytical, creative and management skills as they identify the potential needs of the organisation, propose ways to meet these needs and organise resources to do so.
Students would be required to at least commit for the first 3 phases of the course in order to receive the letter of certification for the completion of the course and SEAL points will only be given upon completion of the 12hour course.
